Have you discussed the pain with a neurosurgeon? It could be a symptom of a tethered chord problem and your GP most likely won't know anything about it.

Hi Donna,
I've just replied to your other thread, but thought i'd chime in here too.
I think you should ring your consultat's secretary and chase him up. I hope you're not getting TCS symptoms, but if you are you really need to see the guy.
How would you describe your pain - Shooting? Burning? Stabbing? Do you have any pain or tingling in your legs?
All of the painkillers you've mentioned are fairly mild, so I do think you should go back to your GP to ask for something more. Of course they don't like giving out stronger stuff as people can get addicted to it, but if you're stuggling then I think it would be a good idea. I take a drug called Gabapentin, which works on 'nerve pain'. For me, it is wonderful - it really helps the burning, tingling, hypersensitive pain I get. I also take Etoricoxib (Arcoxia) which is a really good anti inflammatory, and seems to help my buttock and leg pain.

it just get's really bad then and i find it hard to walk an even sleep.
