Hello everyone. Please bear with me im not to clued up on the terms and jargon for this all as im very new to this. i have a 2years and 4 months old little girl that i affectionately call Rabbit. I also have a little boy of 9 months. I live in South Africa. My Rabbit has had incredibly bad ocnstipation for 18 months and have gone through a stream of doctors! (bearing in mind my niece died of spina bifida complications) We had to hospitalise her a couple of weeks ago for severe faecal complications of which when the surgeon saw her deep dimple above her bum he sent her for further testing. They detected Spina bifida Oculta in the s1 vertebra. We have yet to set a definate date for the mri and im petrified as my little boy also has the same dimple but the doctor says we can only do an xray when hes a year (is there a specific reason) i just wanted to get information on the whole topic and havent found much so when i saw the forum i thought brillianrt first hand knowledge! Nothing better than hearing form mums themselves!! Our surgeon is quite full of himself and has made my husband uneasy but if hes good at his job and like that then fine i dont have to socialise with him :) :sign0013: im rambling!
