I have to say that not being able to feel some things can't always be seen as a bad thing. My son broke his toe at school today and although i know he will be fine it looks like it would hurt REAL bad. He is getting an x ray in the morning and have it seen about. He is being a trooper he says it really really hurts and he is hobbling around quite a bit. He says he doesn't care what they do as long as they don't do surgery on it lol. I don't think they do that for broken toes. He is a real trooper!
It is times like these that you see what some other people go through that I think to myself "Man I am glad i can't feel mine!"

Wierd i know but true.

It can definitely have it's advantages. I'm glad that I can't feel the pressure sore on my heel. But in a way that is a negative, because I would have known about it sooner. I didn't know about it until my foot had swelled up and I had cellulitis.

Since I can't feel it, they removed some of the dead skin from the foot without knocking me out. It was done in 10 minutes. I just looked the other way lol

Gotta love injections in the bum. the vitamin B12 injection would have hurt like hell in the arm lol.

Funny you all can find the positive, that's an important trait to have. Much better to see the glass half full than half empty. Angel I hope your son's toe feels better soon. If it's throbbing :scream:, tell him to rest with his foot up above the level of the heart. Hopefully some pain med will help too.

Ummm....
Angel's post was about 6 weeks ago! The toe is surely long since healed!

I've noticed a lot of new posts in the last few days to threads that have been cold for months - years even.
Please look at the date of a post before replying and avoid stirring up long dead issues.
