I had Hunter on Januery 8,2009... He is doing really good. The SB is in his s1-s5 region of his back. the only thing tha we see right now that may be a problem is that he has no bowle control. We are going to the Neaurologist today to get his stiches out. Hunter was 5 lbs 4oz and 17 inches long. He only stayed in NICU for a week. I am just getting use to haveing him home and dealing with my other son who is turning 7 on the 22nd so wish me luck and keep us in your prayers as we will need them in the days and weeks to come.

Yeah where are the photos!!!! I am so excited for you. I have less than 4 weeks to go so hopefully i will have a reason to be congradulated soon!

Congrats on your new baby. Welcome. My Sarah is 15mos. Myleomeningocele Sacral 1-3. She is cathed every 4 hrs while awake, she has very little rectal tone, and has oozing of stool problems too. I had most trouble with diaper area skin break down. It got better when we could stop antibiotics, and the diarrhea was not so acidy then. My dd only stayed 1 week in the NICU also.

I'd have to admit though, it was tough to bring her home and do the wound care and diapering all my self after a C-section. Did you come home with the "mud flap" on his bum? and have to keep him on his belly until healed?
