Does anyone know of any styles of leg braces that make it easier to walk uphill? I wear bilateral AFO's that have absolutely no give at the ankles, so when I'm going uphill I feel like I have to lean forward in order to not fall backward! It's really hard and tiring! I'm seeing a doc soon to get a prescription for new ones, so I wanted to bring some new ideas to her.

There was a post here a while ago about AFOs with carbon fibre "springs" at the ankle - a link to a youtube video showing a kid actually running with them.

That's awesome! I used to be able to run before they put me in the style of brace I'm in now. Maybe with some physical therapy I could do it again.
