Hi everyone,
Our new baby girl (Zoe Hope) was delivered to us yesterday at 7:05 AM. She is beautiful! She came about 3 weeks early and was delivered via C-section. Shortly after her birth the docs did her back closure and no word yet on whether a shunt is needed. So far things look good although I am expecting at some point a shunt will be needed based on statistics. Also she appears to have a little bit of a club foot which doctors said should be easily fixable due to her age and should not be a major concern. I will try to post pix soon. The only down side is we can't hold her due to the back surgery performed and the amount of time required to heal.
I wanted to take time out to say thanks to Dodger and Barb as well as all the other great and dedicated people that make this sight happen. It helped me get through some valleys for sure. My hope is I can continue helping others with the knowledge I gained during this trying time.
Any of you out there struggling I would encourage to continue educating yourselves as well as trying to meet other people here and abroa:bluesbrothers:d who are dealing with similar issues. Sites such as these as well as my faith in God have helped by leaps and bounds. I can say me and my wife struggled with how to proceed and after reading all the great stories of hope we decided to persevere and let God see us through this. Again thanks to all of you out there making this happen. With any of you struggling my thoughts and prayers are with you.
