Hi Everyone
I am a mum to a gorgeous 8 month old boy with Lipomyelomenigocele.
Totally unexpected as my 18wk scans did not show he had SB. I am still trying to process it all & come to terms with everything.
DS had cord dethering surgery 6th Feb at 4 1/2 months old which in it's self was a nightmare experience. After 6 days recovering quite well we were sent home from hospital only to be rushed back within 24hrs with CSF leak. After another 8days in hospital & repeated attempts to stop the leaking we went home again.
We are to begin cathederising next tuesday & I am a little frightened I must admit.
DS also has problems with his bowel movements & an xray yesterday revealed a very impacted bowel. My GP suggested coloxyl drops until he can figure out what to give him.
So I am wondering if anyone can recommend something to help my baby poo. Rather that having to resort to laxatives.
Thanks
