Has anybody got any ideas on how to protect my son's legs when he is crawling outside? Please don't just say put him in jeans/trousers as it's way too hot for them and the waistband sits right on his scar and rubs it so it's red and sore. He won't stay on a mat/rug, he is a rough and tumble little boy that wants to join in with his siblings. He won't stay in his buggy he wants to get dirty with everyone else, i have found some really cool soft shoes to protect his toes but now it's his knees and shins that are getting scraped.:help:
I'm not sure how big he is, but our PT suggested elbow braces that can be purchased at the dollar store, and they work really well. They don't have padding, but they're nice and stretchy and small enough to stay on his little legs.

We used Jazzy Knee pads for my daughter. They worked alright.. sometimes they slid off.

The pads that kids use for skating - if you can find the right size. Maybe the smallest elbow pads could fit his knees?
